Feeling well and truly blessed after my crazy berg adventure to race GCU62 in true NevARest style.

Adventure phase 1: Nelspruit to Sani Premier Resort
– 684km, 9hours and a very scenic “short cut” with some essential assistance from Skumbuzo and his crew after my little car overheated in the middle of who knows where between here and there🤷🏻‍♀️.

Adventure phase 2: The race… GCU62 
– 62.8km of spectacular trail in a place that sets my soul on fire. The trail follows the course of the three day Giants Cup hiking trail. I felt I ran a conservative race to start but even so, was outpaced by the classy Mags Wright with 7km to go. Thanks, Spurge for the opportunity and for sharing your playground with us! Wow!

Adventure phase 3: Making it back to Nelspruit in time for work on Monday.
– Despite deciding to rather stick to the (tar) roads more travelled for the trip home, my car again decided to have another heat flush. My bacon was saved by Jason from Digital Bacon FM and Caleb at The Land Rover Whisperer Underberg that sacrificed their Sunday morning to help me diagnose and fix my little Ford. There aren’t enough thanks.

God is good… 1. overheating on a bridge 💦 2. Majestic mountains. Creation is His 😍❤️ 3. Godly people. Wow!
