Race Report: Malcolm Dunkeld – Ngwenya Glass Classic

Taking team Keyhealth Nevarest accords borders to the Ngwenya Glass Classic MTB race. This is a 70km MTB race encompassing everything you want in an MTB race. River crossings, keep track, purpose built single track, steep climbs, sketchy descents, chicken, donkey, goat and cow crossings. All in all making it a super fun and challenging race.

The 70km route included 1620m of climbing and considering Max Knox was leading the challenge it was climbing at pace.

After a tough training week, it took my legs 15km to wake up but then managed to get them going and strong. The field was somewhat dispersed but I managed to finish as the 3rd Male and second in the Sub-Vet category.

Was a great race, well done to the race organizers.
